The National Curriculum requires primary schools to provide swimming lessons for children, with the expectation that all children can swim 25m unaided by the time they leave primary school.  

The National Curriculum also includes lifesaving swimming skills for children in Year 6. This element involves learning a range of swimming survival strokes, self-rescue, and water safety awareness. 

Swimming will take place every Tuesday for 6 weeks, starting on Tuesday 2nd June and ending on Tuesday 7th July.

Children will be taken to the leisure centre at 10:45 and return to school at 12:45.
