School Performances

Each year the KS1 Nativity goes from strength to strength and 2017 was no exception. A particularly high standard of acting, dancing, singing and narrating ensured our show - 'Lights, Camel, Action!'- was a real opportunity for pupils to shine.

Our KS2 summer musical 2017 was 'Wind in the Willows'. Year 6 did a fantastic job in the lead roles and as narrators - we had many brilliant soloists this year - whilst Year 5 were menacing stoats and Year 4 provided beautiful hand-chime accompaniment to some of the songs. All in all it was a fantastic performance, and, as usual, a great team effort.

Each year, every child in Year 3 and Year 5 learns brass instrument technique for a term and a half. Pupils then put on a special performance of their music for parents to showcase their skills and some children progress to regular weekly lessons and even music grade exams for a variety of instruments including trumpet, clarinet, flute and piano.

Children in Year 4 learn to play the hand chimes, which they revisit in subsequent years for school performances. So far in 2017-18, KS2 pupils have provided hand chime accompaniments for our Harvest Festival, Christingle at Coventry Cathedral and our Christmas Carol Service at  St. Chad's.
