Year 2 travelled to the Story Museum in Oxford. They were literally transported into a range of different stories throughout the day. They began by listening to the story ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and then had a go at creating and telling a similar story with three main characters. All the children performed their ideas really well. They then stepped into different story worlds, and had a chance to write a short story sitting at CS Lewis’ writing desk. After lunch, they ventured out into Oxford to follow the white rabbit and learn more about the story of Alice in Wonderland. Their caterpillar race was competitive and lots of fun! When they returned they could listen to stories being told to them by the magical trees before they shrank to the size of ants. They had a fabulous day and truly shone with their ideas, imagination and fabulous behaviour.
